If you’re planning a new project or contemplating a new home build, there’s nothing more worthwhile than a display home tour to provide inspiration and ideas and spark creativity. And if a display home visit is on the cards, then you’ll want to make sure one of Metricon’s incredible show homes is on the list.

If you’re Queensland based, time is running out to tour Metricon’s iconic Riviera show home, which is due to close in November 2020. The impressive flagship Signature Home that won ‘Queensland Display Home of the Year’ in the 2019 HIA-CSR Queensland Housing Awards, has been wowing visitors with its sleek and contemporary style since it opened its doors.

Planning to visit the Riviera or another of Metricon’s display homes? Make the most of your visit and don’t come empty-handed! Here’s what you’ll need to bring…

  1. Your Measuring Tape

Be prepared to be wowed at every turn as you explore this ultimate lifestyle home, but don’t forget to make the most of the experience. Metricon has nailed spatial planning, so take note of the dimensions that feel just right. Whether it’s the oversized island bench, walk-in wardrobe or hallway width, knowing the dimensions that work is an important part of planning for your new home.

2. Your Camera

It’s the details that make the design - as you explore the Riviera, take images of the spaces or details that inspire you. Save the images into a folder on your phone or a cloud-based folder, so you’ll know which details you loved most when it comes to choosing finishes for your new home.

3. Your notebook

The last tool you’ll need in your design toolbox is a notebook. Whether it’s online or on paper, taking notes is an important part of your Riviera Show Home tour. Note down inclusions that you loved, and details that inspired you and jot down the dimensions of spaces that felt just right. When you look back during the design process, these notes will prove invaluable.

So what can you expect during your Metricon Riviera Show Home tour? Let’s take a look.

The ground floor is dedicated to entertaining and lifestyle. An expansive open-plan kitchen, the butler’s pantry and the wet bar are all located with excellent flow to the large dining room; and all these spaces are cleverly situated at the heart of the home.

Smart design ensures an abundance of space and options for the family to entertain large groups, alongside spaces for family members to retreat for quiet downtime. This ensures the home offers fabulous flexibility that’s sure to tick every box.

The Rivera is designed to make the most of a sub-tropical, coastal lifestyle. Beyond the dining room, bi-fold sliding doors open to the extra-large alfresco entertaining space, providing a seamless flow between indoors and out.
